Dan Kraus recently posted a wonderful twitter status: "Would you like to enter a contest to win a signed copy of one of my books? TOO BAD!"
I think memes and giveaways drive a LOT of traffic to book blogs, but I think they're a large part of the reason that most book blogs are of no interest to anyone besides the other book bloggers. This one probably won't be of interest to most of them at all. I'm okay with that. But I love discussing how kid lit has evolved, and want to get some discussions going.
